With bruising defenseman Mike Komisarek sidelined for three weeks with a "lower-body" injury, the Canadiens are facing a big loss. Komisarek has been a godsend for the Canadiens this season - fearlessly blocking shots and throwing around his weight on the ice - without regard for consequences. The rest of the team's top-six defenders will have to pick up the slack on defense.

This morning's NHL statistics have Komisarek leading all NHL defencemen in categories of hits and blocked shots, and he will undoubtedly be tough to replace. Look for Josh Gorges and Roman Hamrlik to play more minutes.
